Mike Stokes called the meeting to order at 8:00pm.
Mike Stokes reviewed his thoughts on MTRCCA ("the Association"

and talked about why the club should leave the Association. Jeff Breeden, Josh Bond, John Rhode, and others, advocated staying with the Association. After some discussion, Wayne Kackley made a motion that we stay in the Association. The vote was 13 to 1 in favor of staying in the Association (Mike Stokes voted against).
Mike Stokes made a motion that we hold officer nominations since we did not have nominations in the previous months.
Mike opened the floor for nominations for Secretary. Josh Bond nominated Gilbert Pitts for Secretary and Wayne Kackley seconded the nomination. Gilbert Pitts accepted the nomination.
Mike opened the floor for nominations for Treasurer. John Rhode nominated Lanny Coggins, Sr. and Mike Stokes seconded the nomination. Lanny Coggins, Sr. accepted the nomination. Wayne Kackley nominated Billy Kemp and Eddie Teague seconded the nomination. Billy Kemp accepted the nomination.
Mike opened the floor for nominations for 3 Safety Officers. Alan Oliver nominated John Rhode and Wayne Kackley seconded the nomination. Mike Stokes nominated J.W. Plummer and Wayne Kackley seconded the nomination. Mike Stokes nominated Jeff Strain and Wayne Kackley seconded the nomination. All the nominees accepted the nomination. (NOTE: 3 safety officer positions need to be filled so these nominees are not running for the same office).
Mike opened the floor for nominations for the Vice President. Eddie Teague nominated Darren Jarrell and Josh Bond seconded the nomination. Wayne Kackley nominated Eddie Teague and Billy Kemp seconded the nomination. Both nominees accepted the nomination.
Mike opened the floor for nominations for the President. Wayne Kackley nominated Jeff Breeden and Darren Jarrell seconded the nomination. Jeff Breeden accepted the nomination.
The elections will be via written ballot at the January meeting. The January meeting will be Sunday, January 6th and 3pm in Murph's barn.
Wayne Kackley wanted to move all future meetings from the first Tuesday of each month to the first Sunday of each month. The consensus was that we could hold the meetings on Sundays in Murph's barn. Gilbert Pitts made a motion to hold all future meetings the first Sunday of each month at 3pm in Murph's barn. Meetings after daylight savings time begins would be held at the same time at the field instead of the barn. The motion passed unanimously.
Jeff Breeden reported that the club has 46 members and has $900 in the bank.
Billy Kemp opened a discussion about Seniors' dues which have been at $35, while general membership is $100. Billy Kemp made a motion to raise Seniors' dues to $85. The motion failed by a vote of 3 to 10.
Gilbert Pitts made a motion to raise Seniors' dues to 50% of the general membership dues, which is currently set at $100. This motion passed by a vote of 13 to 1 (Billy Kemp voted against).
The Family Plan was discussed and clarified to mean a son or daughter who is 19 years or younger living in the same household as a member.
Mike Stokes asked Josh Bond about the MTRCCA Swap Meet listed on the VSMA website calendar for March 2008. Josh Bond confirmed this was an error and would be fixed.
Mike Stokes adjourned the meeting at 8:45pm.
